Former international Bănel Nicoliță (41 years old), twice champion of Romania, is of the opinion that Ștefan Târnovanu (25 years old), the 1st goalkeeper option at FCSB, could cope brilliantly with Inter, the Italian champion trained by the Romanian Cristi Chivu.
From the undisputed starter, Târnovanu became a luxury reserve in the second part of the season, after the boss Gigi Becali requested that the young Matei Popa, who also fulfills the U21 rule, be put between the sticks. Criticized several times by the boss, Târnovanu could leave this summer. His contract with the team coached by Lucian Filip expires in the summer of 2028, but it could come to an end sooner.
He even joked recently that he is available if Inter is looking for a goalkeeper, but Bănel Nicoliță has seriously analyzed a possible move and is of the opinion that the red-blue player could manage at the Serie A level.
