New version of Badger with Slovak turret. The minister announces success in exports

According to Defense24, the Borsuk infantry fighting vehicle will be integrated with a new type of turret. This will be the Slovak Turra 30 tower. Announcements of such a solution appeared at the beginning of March, after signing a cooperation agreement between Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa and the Slovak company EVPU Defense. The combination of the Borsuk platform and the Slovak Turra turret may create a weapon that will have a greater chance on the arms market than the current version of the combat vehicle.

The Polish Borsuk combat vehicle is manufactured by Huta Stalowa Wola. This is one of the greatest achievements of the Polish arms industry, which almost revolutionized the face of the Polish army. The first mass-produced Badgers were handed over to the army in December 2025. They replaced the obsolete Soviet BWP-1.
Borsuk is based on a universal, modular tracked platform and in its current version is equipped with a remotely controlled turret system (ZSSW-30). The vehicle's crew consists of three soldiers: the commander, the weapons operator and the driver. Additionally, the vehicle can carry six soldiers. The design allows you to overcome water obstacles without prior preparation, which may be important in the areas of numerous rivers and lakes. The badger reaches a speed of 65 km per hour. on paved roads and 8 km per hour while swimming. Its combat weight in the basic version is 28 tons.
