The politician accused Brussels of trying to undermine Washington's actions to end the war in Ukraine. According to him, the EU wants to continue the war, although – in his opinion – the fate of the conflict is already decided, Hungarian media reported.
The minister also commented on media reports and allegations against the main opposition party regarding the alleged desire to restore conscription in Hungary. “Hungary is doing well with a professional army, the country needs professional and well-trained soldiers,” said Szalay-Bobrovniczky, quoted by the daily “Magyar Nemzet”.
