The Sovetsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk sentenced members of a criminal community consisting of 26 people. They forced women into prostitution and used violence against them.

The community operated from 2016 to 2019. The group operated so-called leisure companies, divided into structural divisions. It included managers, dispatchers, pimps, drivers, financial specialists and “power support” employees. Women were recruited through false advertisements for high-paying jobs. Physical violence and fines were used for violation of discipline. Competitors were eliminated through attacks and destruction of property.

In total, the group members involved more than 35 people in illegal activities. More than 40 people were recognized as victims. The volume of the case materials amounted to 186 volumes.

The leaders of the group received 16 and 15 years in a maximum security colony. The remaining participants were sentenced to terms ranging from 5.5 to 8.5 years, some of them suspended. The court also confiscated vehicles that were used for criminal purposes. Previously, four more participants who entered into a pre-trial agreement were convicted. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
