In the Boguchansky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, due to the overflow of the Kamenka River, strong hummocks and accumulation of ice, four fuel tankers were blocked and could not continue moving to their destination.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of May 5, the Rescue facility reported and shared footage from the scene.
Three fuel tanker drivers were evacuated by airboat to the village of Kamenka. The fourth man decided to stay with the trucks despite the difficult situation.
“Fortunately, the fuel tankers were empty, which eliminates the risk of environmental pollution,” rescuers note.
Currently, in the Boguchansky District, as a result of heavy snowmelt, water overflow has been recorded across the roadway on three sections of roads of regional importance: Ordzhonikidze – Kamenka, Kamenka – Manzya and Oktyabrsky – Chunoyar – Osinovy Mys – Takuchet. Drivers are asked to take this information into account and plan their journeys taking into account any possible restrictions.
