VIDEO The moment when a United Airlines plane hits a truck and a pole on the highway before landing in the USA

A plane carrying more than 200 passengers hit a light pole and a truck traveling on a freeway near Newark Liberty International Airport in the US state of New Jersey on Sunday as it was preparing to land, US police said, CNN reports.
The United Airlines Boeing 767, which was coming from Venice, Italy, was traveling at a speed of more than 250 km/h when it passed over the New Jersey Turnpike, right near the airport.
On board the plane, there were 221 passengers and 10 crew members, the airline said.
A preliminary investigation showed that a wheel on the plane's landing gear and the underside of the aircraft “collided with a pole and a truck. The pole then struck a Jeep,” New Jersey State Police spokesman Sergeant Major Charles Marchan said in a statement.
“The truck driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital in the area,” said the police official.
Footage captured by the truck's dashboard camera showed the driver driving down the road as the noise of the plane's engines grew louder. Suddenly, the tires of the plane's landing gear hit the truck, shaking it and scattering shards of glass.

The truck driver, Warren Boardley, of Baltimore, was delivering baked goods to a Newark airport warehouse when the incident occurred, Chuck Paterakis, Schmidt Bakery's senior vice president of transportation, told CNN.
The driver suffered cuts to his arm from the broken glass, but was not seriously injured and was able to pull over safely, according to Paterakis.
Following the incident, United Airlines stated that the aircraft landed safely, taxied normally to the gate and no passenger or crew member was injured.
“We will conduct a rigorous flight safety investigation into the incident, and the crew has been suspended as part of the process,” United said.
