Oana Gheorghiu published the response received from PSD deputy Adrian Solomon after her call to parliamentarians before the motion

Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu revealed the answer given by the social democrat Adrian Solomon to the e-mail she sent to deputies and senators to urge them to vote on the motion “according to their own conscience, not according to the order from the party leader”. According to a capture published by the deputy prime minister, the deputy replied aggressively to the email: “Has*ktir”.

  • Contacted by HotNews, MP Adrian Solomon refused to comment.

Adrian Solomon is the leader of PSD Vaslui and the president of the Labor Committee in the Chamber of Deputies. On Tuesday, he asked Senator Victoria Stoiciu to resign from Parliament, as a reaction to her decision to leave PSD due to the motion submitted by the party alongside AUR.

“There can only be one solution for the distinguished lady to remain with her honor intact: RESIGN from the Senate! PS: Quickly, before the principles oxidize!!!”, the social democrat wrote in a post on Facebook.

Stoiciu, who likened the collaboration between PSD and AUR to a “normalization of fascism”, explained in an opinion piece for the HotNews audience why he decided to resign from the party when the motion was initiated.

“Some parliamentarians got angry” after the e-mail sent by Oana Gheorghiu

On Thursday evening, the deputy prime minister announced that he had sent “a personal message to every deputy and senator of Romania”, addressing them to “an appeal for wisdom and courage” in the context of PSD-AUR's censure motion.

“I have every conviction that the elected representatives of the Romanian people will exercise their vote on Tuesday not out of obedience to a party leader, but out of respect for the Romanians who have given them their trust”, declared Oana Gheorghiu.

On Friday, she said that “some parliamentarians got angry because I allowed myself the audacity to write to them on my personal email, which is posted on the website of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate.”

“I want to publicly apologize to those parliamentarians whom I have inopportunely allowed to allow me the arrogance to send them an e-mail by which I invited them to vote according to their own conscience, not according to the order from the party leader”, said Oana Gheorghiu.

The vote on the motion takes place on Tuesday

PSD-AUR's censure motion, titled “STOP the “Bolojan Plan” to destroy the economy, impoverish the population and fraudulently sell the state's wealth”, was read on Wednesday in the assembled plenary session of the Parliament. The debate and vote will take place on Tuesday, May 5.

The document was signed by more than 250 parliamentarians, and to lead to the dismissal of the Government, it must obtain 233 votes in Tuesday's session in the Parliament. Voting will be secret, with balls.
