The forest fire on the Esaulovskaya Loop, which started due to the fault of tourists on May 1, has been extinguished.

The fire was fought on high, steep slopes for almost two days. The fire area was 17 hectares. A strong wind changed direction and “threw” the flame in different directions, in some places raising it to the height of a man. And all this in almost thirty-degree heat, said specialists from the Krasnoyarsk forest fire center

“You can’t use technology in mountainous areas, so we could say we fought hand-to-hand against fire. They let the fire meet the fire and thus stopped the movement of the edges. Then they covered it with sand, poured water from backpack forest fire extinguishers, and extinguished it with blowers,” the firefighters said.

Residents of the region need to be extremely vigilant and attentive when handling fire, firefighters once again remind. Violators of fire safety requirements face both administrative and criminal liability.
