Negro lived on the campus of the diversified Technical Institute in Monterrey, Casanare, where he was fondly cared for by teachers and students. They offered them daily food, water and a safe place to sleep, and instead the dog kept their company and guarded the area.
After spending time on campus, Negro noticed an interesting habit: students went to a small shop where they bought snacks. Sometimes they also offered a biscuit.

Slowly, the dog began to understand what an exchange means. He saw how the children offered money and received something in return, and one day he tried to do the same.
