May weekend is most often… a house party. The data speaks plainly

This year's May holiday is exceptionally short, which is why many Poles chose to relax close to home or go on shorter trips. Every fourth respondent (26%) planned at least one night away from home, but the largest group declares that they will spend this time locally. At the same time, 31 percent respondents at the time of the survey (in March 2026) did not yet know how they would use the long weekend – reports Rankomat.pl.

Among people who had specific plans, the most popular way to spend the May weekend is quiet time with family and loved ones (31%).. The next places were a barbecue with friends (26%) and active recreation, such as cycling, running or walking (23%).
