A World War I ship off the coast of Great Britain. The discovery of divers

The wreck of the Tampa ship, formerly owned by the US Coast Guard, was identified approximately 80 km from Newquay in British Cornwall by a group of British divers called Gasperados.
On Saturday, the Americans shared details of the discovery on social media. Historical documents show that the ship sank during World War I in 1918. This means that its wreck lay at the bottom for over 100 years.

The Tampa sank after being torpedoed by a German submarine. The ship went down in less than three minutes.
131 people died in the incident, i.e. everyone on board, including 111 border guards, four members of the US Navy and 16 members of the British Navy.
“We remember the brave crew who died aboard the USCGC Tampa. We honor their sacrifice and continue their legacy in defense of America,” reads the U.S. Coast Guard's post.
