The US State Department will release a limited-edition batch of passports featuring the image of President Donald Trump, Fox News reported on Tuesday. The new project is intended to commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence.

Trump's likeness is to appear on the inside cover of the document, against the background of the Declaration of Independence and the American flag. The president's signature in gold is placed at the bottom of the page.
This limited edition passports will be issued to any American citizen who applies for the new document during the period of its availability, Fox News emphasized. The website assessed that the new template of documents would anger Democrats.

The passports are to be issued in the summer as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of US independence, which also includes, among others: the Grand Prix race in Washington in August and the UFC fight on the White House grounds in June.
To mark the anniversary in March, the Federal Commission of Fine Arts also approved the design of a commemorative 24-karat gold coin with the image of the U.S. president. New US banknotes are also to be printed with Trump's signature.
