“The Kremlin agents launched a huge campaign to buy votes, spent around 200 million euros – almost 1 percent of Moldova GDP – to destabilize our country,” said the head of government in Chisinau, quoted by the Reuters agency.

According to Moldovan law enforcement agencies, a campaign aimed at buying votes was managed by a fugitive pro -Russian oligarch Ilan Sor, along with their supporters. SOR denies these claims.

Moldova repeatedly accused Moscow of interfering with her internal affairs. He accuses Russia that he wants to keep it in the sphere of his influence. Moscow rejects these accusations and criticizes the authorities in Chisinau.

Last year's election was won by the pro -western president of Maia Sandu, while in the European referendum Moldovania with a minimum majority of votes in favor of entering European integration in the constitution as a strategic direction of the country's development.

In autumn, parliamentary elections will take place in Moldova, which – as Reuters pointed out – to test the popularity of the pro -European government. (PAP)
