The court found six residents of Krasnoyarsk guilty of organizing an illegal gambling business, but left them free.

It was established that the defendants created an underground casino on the premises at Alekseeva Street, 8a.

“Under the guise of ordinary business, premises were rented from the owner, who was not aware of the criminal intentions of the tenants. To conduct games, they purchased professional equipment, including 5 poker tables, roulette, chips, decks of cards, as well as 52 slot machines. They organized gambling (poker, roulette) in the premises and the operation of slot machines outside the established gambling zone,” said the joint press service of the regional courts.

According to Part 3 of Art. 171.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Illegal organization and conduct of gambling committed by an organized group), the defendants were sentenced to suspended imprisonment for periods of 1.5 to 2 years.
