The regional coal miners' sports competition dedicated to the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia took place in Borodino.
Participating in it were teams from the Borodino, Nazarovsky, Berezovsky open-pit mines, the Borodino Loading and Transport Department (PTU), the Borodino RMZ (a branch of ESC SUEK LLC) and SUEK-Krasnoyarsk.
“Sport, like nothing else, unites people of different professions, ages and nationalities,” noted Alexander Konstantinov, manager of the Borodinsky M. I. Shchadov open-pit mine branch of SUEK-Krasnoyarsk JSC, welcoming the participants. — Let these competitions become a holiday of health, energy and good mood! I wish you bright victories and worthy opponents, fair fight without injuries, good spirits and unforgettable impressions!”
These words acquire special depth if we remember history, notes SUEK-Krasnoyarsk. Borodino, Nazarovsky and Berezovsky open-pit mines were once built by residents of different parts of the vast country – representatives of dozens of nationalities and cultures. They were united by common work for the benefit of the region and the entire fuel and energy complex, and after the shift – fair sports competition on green fields and halls. The current coal miners' sports competition has become a direct continuation of this tradition, where the friendship of peoples is strengthened through mutual respect, team spirit and the ability to support each other.
“I’ve been participating in sports competitions for 12 years now, and everything always goes great,” notes the captain of the Borodinsky RMZ team, Evgeniy Moroz. — Excellent organization, emotions still do not let go. We always take part with pleasure and try to give our best and even more.”
According to the results of the competition in women's volleyball, the SUEK-Krasnoyarsk team won first place. The miners of the Borodino open-pit mine won the mini-football, who also led in the relay races. In the “Funny Starts”, the fastest and most agile were the railway workers from the Borodino vocational school, who took the leaders’ cup and gold medals in the team competition.
Sports at SUEK-Krasnoyarsk have long been not just an element of corporate life, but a genuine tradition that unites thousands of employees of different enterprises. Regular sports competitions, mini-football, volleyball, table tennis and athletics tournaments are only part of the systematic work to popularize a healthy lifestyle.
Very soon, the best athletes of SUEK-Krasnoyarsk enterprises will represent the Krasnoyarsk region at the All-Russian stage of the GTO festival among work teams, confirming the high status of the regional leader in corporate sports. Such projects reveal the talents of employees, serve as an example for the entire region, contribute to the development of mass sports and strengthening the prestige of a healthy, active nation, where strength lies in unity, and unity is born in work and fair sports.
