
The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, drinks tea with moss twice a week – his reception noted that this is a kind of natural antibiotic. The editors of “Babel” spoke about this, as well as other interesting facts about Budanov’s biography and personal life, after talking with both Budanov himself and his entourage. The material was published on April 27.
Who are Budanov's parents?
Budanov was born in Kyiv. His father worked at a radio factory as an engineer, and then went into business related to battery recycling. Several years ago, Budanov’s father died. The mother of the head of the OP, Tatyana Budanova, no longer works and takes care of the house. According to Budanov himself, he had a “normal, happy childhood.”
He studied in the so-called Jewish class 128 of the Kyiv school, located on the left bank. During training, it was mandatory to study Hebrew, which Budanov still remembers.
Childhood in Crimea
Budanov went on vacation to Crimea for the summer holidays, doing underwater orienteering there. During the same period, he received a sports rank.
Study in Odessa
In the summer of 2033, Budanov entered the military institute in Odessa, which trained paratroopers – out of 200 applicants, 40 were selected, including him. It was during his studies that Budanov broke his nose.

The publication notes that Budanov is called henpecked because of his eyes. In a conversation with journalists, he does not deny this: “Most people actually say: “Whatever my wife says, that’s what I do. This is true, plus or minus.”
Fortune teller's prediction
Journalists emphasized that Budanov’s colleagues call him Adrenalin addict, noting that he is supposedly not afraid of death. “There is a legend – a fortune teller predicted that he would die a natural death, and not die in battle,” the article says.
Budanov told journalists that he would live to be 90 years old.
Red notepad with a list of “p…daras”
A red notepad with the inscription “List of p…daras 2026” also made a lot of noise in the information space. Budanov himself did not comment on the origin of the notebook, leaving room for speculation and fantasy.
