The PSD leader who announced the alliance with AUR for the censure motion is the one to whom Bolojan especially thanked

PSD and AUR decided to submit a joint censure motion against the Ilie Bolojan Government. Petrişor Peiu (AUR) and Marian Neacşu (PSD) declared on Monday that until this moment, “absolutely nothing” has been discussed about a future government, specifying that, “as far as I know”, neither their leaders have taken any steps in this regard, writes News.ro.
“Following several discussions between the leaderships of our parties, it was decided that Mr. Perişor Peiu and I (n. ed. the leader of the AUR senators) will take care of the technical part of a joint censure motion. It is an exclusively technical thing. The political approach will probably be explained during this day, by the party presidents. As you know, we have a BPN at 2:00 p.m. in which the final decision will be made”, declared the social democrat Marian Neacșu, former deputy prime minister in Ilie Bolojan's government.
He has no official position in the PSD
Marian Neacșu was deputy prime minister in the Bolojan Government until the PSD ministers resigned. Neacșu is no longer officially in the management organization chart of the PSD, he practically has no official position. In 2016, he was given a suspended prison sentence for the crime of conflict of interest in 2016. He illegally employed his daughter in his parliamentary office. His appointment in the Ciolacu government and later, in the Bolojan Government, was strongly contested.
Bolojan thanked him especially
The other day, immediately after the PSD ministers retired from the Government, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan thanked them for their work. And especially to Neacșu.
It was said by the spokeswoman of the Government, Ioana Dogioiu, at the end of last week's government meeting, from which the resigners were absent.
“At the end of the Government session, Prime Minister Bolojan wanted to thank the PSD ministers who were not present. He emphasized that everything that was achieved in the ten months was a team effort, to which everyone made their contribution and everyone has their share of responsibility. Special thanks were addressed to Mr. Deputy Prime Minister Marian Neacșu for how he collaborated with the Prime Minister and the government team”, said Dogioiu.
