On Saturday, October 4, in Bari, Italy, the groups for the European Volleyball Championships of 2026 took place. Both the male national and the female are qualified and have found their opponents, a group of the men's tournament being hosted in Romania, in Cluj-Napoca.

The European Male Volleyball Championship will take place on September 10-27, 2026and the hosts will be Bulgaria, Finland, Italy and Romania. Group D will be organized in our country, the matches will be held in the Barena in Cluj-Napoca.

The female national will travel to Azerbaijan to the 2026 European Championship
The European women's volleyball championship will take place on August 21 – September 6, 2026and the hosts will be Turkey, Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic and Sweden.
The female national of Romania was assigned in Group C, which will be organized in Baku, Azerbaijan. In addition to the hosts, the tricolors will go with Portugal, Holland, Belgium and Spain.

Both male and female, 4 teams in each group will qualify in the finals of the European Championship. In the male, the eliminatory phases will take place in Turin, Milan and Varna, while, in the feminine, they will take place in Baku and Istanbul.
