The family of a boy killed by dogs in the Krasnoyarsk Territory will receive compensation 3 times less than requested

The Berezovsky District Court partially satisfied the claim of the prosecutor's office for compensation to the family of a 10-year-old boy, which died from dog bites at the end of October 2025 in SNT “Teremok”. The decision was made on April 22.

The administration of the Sosnovoborsky municipal district will pay the father, mother and brother of the deceased 1.2 million rubles each. In addition, the family will be reimbursed for funeral expenses.

Initially, the prosecutor's office demanded a total of 12.5 million rubles. The department asked to recover from the local service “Customer” 4 million rubles for each of the three family members and another 462 thousand rubles for the funeral.

Let us remind you that the child’s body was found at the end of October in the Teremok SNT with traces of multiple bites. According to investigators, the boy was walking across the field to a familiar shepherd to go grazing together.

Later, the chairman of the Krasnoyarsk public animal protection organization “My Dog” was detained and sent to a pre-trial detention center on suspicion of providing services that did not meet safety requirements. The investigation was taken over by the central office of the Russian Investigative Committee.
