Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory checked the work of family centers

The Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory reviewed the progress of the project to modernize family and children's centers.
An off-site meeting of the section on social policy issues of the coordinating council of the Association for the interaction of representative bodies of state power and local self-government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory was held at the Centers for social assistance to families and children “Doverie”, “Oktyabrsky” and “Nadezhda”.
Minister of Social Policy of the region Irina Pastukhova said that the pilot project “Family Assistance. Regional support centers” started in Krasnoyarsk in 2022. To modernize the institutions, they developed a brand book with a bright sunflower as the logo. The flower has become a symbol of family, which emphasizes the value of everyone and the importance of mutual support. The author of the slogan “Does your family need help? – Look for the sunflower! Ilya Zaitsev became the chairman of the relevant parliamentary committee.
In addition to external changes, the system of family assistance itself has changed dramatically. New family-centric formats have emerged:
- “Family Saturdays” – holding events on weekends.
- “Family schedule” – optimization of the work schedule of regional institutions, based on the interests of the family on weekdays and weekends.
- “Social nanny” is a short-term childcare service for families of SVO participants, families with disabled children, large families and student families.
- “Coworking spaces” is the organization of joint leisure activities between parents and children.
- “Family Living Rooms” is a club format for working on issues of parent-child relationships.
- “The “Children in the Family” service is the prevention of social orphanhood. “Family MFC” is a modern format for providing social services based on the “one window” principle.
The Trust Center on Borisevicha Street in the Leninsky district of the regional capital operates on a flexible schedule from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., including Saturdays. Specialists accompany families, help overcome conflicts, provide targeted, informational, legal assistance, and conduct active club activities.
The center operates a social rental point “Pomogator”, which provides free rehabilitation, developmental and play equipment for children.
The Oktyabrsky branch of the center for social assistance to families and children presented one of the new and popular formats of assistance to families raising children with disabilities – a study apartment. In a modern, comfortable apartment, equipped with furniture and household appliances, children with disabilities learn self-care skills and gain social experience that will allow them to successfully adapt to society and lead an independent life.
Ilya Zaitsev noted that such an experience is impossible without joint efforts and the involvement of municipalities: “There is a request for educational apartments in which children with disabilities learn simple everyday things. The region is ready to open them according to the developed standard, taking into account the recommendations of experts. We definitely cannot do without municipalities, because the Ministry of Social Policy does not have a housing stock. If the local government confirms that it is ready to provide the appropriate property, then we become involved in the process. In the near future, such a training apartment will open in Divnogorsk. It was not easy; the process of transferring housing into regional ownership took a year. Now the priority task is to open such formats in the region’s core cities.”
At the Nadezhda center, specialists demonstrated new modern interaction formats focused on a family-centric approach, including with the involvement of the older generation.
On behalf of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, work to bring the regional centers for assistance to families and children to the unified style of the Family Help brand will continue.
Summing up, Ilya Zaitsev noted: “The centers provide effective support, families receive services from specialists that would not be available to them privately. Consultations with a speech therapist, psychologist, work with conflicts in the family – many parents appreciated the high level of help. We understand that problems often require a comprehensive solution and the involvement of related industries: healthcare, education, culture. The principle of family-centricity is impossible without coordinated actions of all levels of government and interdepartmental interaction. Today we are convinced that the main changes are not huge funds, but, first of all, flexibility and willingness to solve a common problem.”
