Companies are shutting down production in furniture factories
However, Ikea is not the only furniture company currently reducing employment. Another industry giant is Black Red White, a company that has decided to discontinue production at its plant in Zamość. Production is gradually being moved to plants in Biłgoraj and Mielec, and by the end of June over 160 jobs will cease to exist.
More and more furniture factories announce the closure of their operations. Among them, there are those that have been operating for many years, e.g. the approximately 70-year-old company Zorka, which produced furniture for Ikea. The company has to face the loss of its job over 230 employees. Some of them were given notice of dismissal already in January.
