A track repair campaign has started on the Krasnoyarsk Railway, which this year will cover 21 sections and 6 stations in 17 districts and districts of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Khakassia and the Kemerovo Region.

In total, from April to October, railway workers will overhaul 210 km of track and replace 61 switches. For these purposes, about 1,250 technological “windows” are planned.

Currently, large-scale work has already been launched on the Trans-Siberian Railway Ingashskaya – Tinskaya section (Ilansko-Nizhneingashsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory). This is the longest section under repair, where 25.3 km of track will be updated.

Specialists also began repairing 22 km of tracks on the Trans-Siberian Railway Kemchug – Zeledeevo section, which is one of the most intense passenger and commuter train traffic in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Railway workers will carry out a full cycle of work including dismantling the old track, cleaning the ballast, straightening the track and laying a new rail and sleeper grid on a reinforced concrete base. At the final stage, the joints between the rails are welded, which ensures smooth running of the rolling stock.

All work will be carried out in closed track mode, when the section under repair is closed and trains are passed in reverse mode along the adjacent track.

During the repair campaign, adjustments to the electric train schedule are possible. Krasnoyarsk Railway asks passengers to be understanding of the work being carried out. They are necessary to ensure the reliability and safety of infrastructure, increase train speeds and develop transport services.
