The lighting industry is at a crossroads. The giant from Zielona Góra is fighting for survival

LUG SA from Zielona Góra, one of the leading European producers of lighting solutions, is struggling with financial problems of its subsidiary LUG Light Factory. Despite technological successes and the implementation of prestigious contracts, including: for Warsaw or The Hague, the company is struggling with payment backlogs and aggressive competition from Asia, which is why a decision was made to file for bankruptcy, but this is treated as a last resort. Currently, LUG is focusing on restructuring and cost reduction, as well as arrangements with creditors.
