Assumptions of the tax on excess profits, the so-called windfall tax, should be ready by the end of April – said Andrzej Domański, Minister of Finance and Economy.

“We are working on it (…). I maintain that we will come up with a project,” Domański told journalists on the sidelines of the European Economic Congress in Katowice.
When asked whether the project would appear by the end of April, Domański said: “I would like the project to be established by the end of April (…). By the end of April.”
When asked what entities would be covered by the excess profits tax, the Minister of Finance and Economy said: “By definition, the 'winfall tax' should be imposed on those entities that derive excess profits in a specific economic situation.”
At the end of March, Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that the government would introduce a tax on excess profits of fuel companies. (PAP Business)
