– I think the war is basically over. They don't have a navy, they don't have communications, they don't have an air force, Trump said in another phone call with the media that day.

He estimated that American forces were “very ahead of schedule” compared to the originally planned operation schedule, which lasted 4-5 weeks.

When asked about the new supreme leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei, he replied: – I have nothing to tell him. Absolutely nothing.

Earlier, Trump expressed dissatisfaction with his choice, and according to the Wall Street Journal, he allegedly told advisers that may support killing Khamenei if he shows no willingness to give in to US demands, such as ending the nuclear program.

The president told CBS he had an idea who could replace Khamenei, but did not provide details.

Trump also said that ships pass through the Strait of Hormuz, but he is thinking about taking it over. Also on Monday, in an interview with Fox News, Trump called on tanker captains to pass freely through the Strait of Hormuz and “show some courage.” Trump assured that there was “nothing to be afraid of.”

“They've already shot everything they have to shoot, and they better not try anything smart because it will be the end of their country,” Trump threatened Iran on CBS News.

Trump, who is in Florida, held a news conference late Monday afternoon.

Khamenei's adviser to CNN: we are ready for a long war

Iran is prepared for a long war with the United States, and the only way to end it is through mounting economic pressure that forces the US to end its intervention, Kamal Charazi, a foreign policy adviser in the office of Iran's supreme leader, told CNN on Monday.
