The hangar was equipped with the latest technology. It has automated sliding gates 19 m high and 180 m long with thermal insulation and flexible opening logic, which ensures convenient entry for aircraft of any type, including wide-body ones. The floor is made of monolithic reinforced concrete with a high-strength epoxy coating – this guarantees a level and safe platform for equipment and personnel to work. The combined dual-circuit heating system maintains a stable temperature regime, and electrical distribution columns allow you to simultaneously connect the aircraft and the necessary equipment to power. The updated hangar is also equipped with a modern system of LED lighting, ventilation, video surveillance, access control and a robotic foam fire extinguishing system.

“Modern infrastructure and technological innovations allow work to be carried out with a high degree of precision, providing new levels of operational efficiency and stable conditions, regardless of the weather. Now, in the largest aircraft hangar beyond the Urals, complex forms of maintenance and major repairs can be carried out without ferrying aircraft to other regions. Almost 7 thousand square meters of space make it possible to simultaneously accommodate and service up to five aircraft,” the press service of the Krasnoyarsk airport said.

The head of the KrasAvia Airworthiness Maintenance Center, Artem Mosyagin, highly appreciated the modernized hangar, noting that it has all the necessary conditions for servicing aircraft, and modern technologies allow aircraft technicians to work accurately and safely.

It is noted that in the future the production capacity of the hangar will be available to other airlines on a contractual basis.
