Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the aggressor country Russia, Ukraine has been increasing the production of its own weapons. According to the then Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov, who now heads the Ministry of Defense, more than 90% of the drones that are used on the battlefield produced in Ukraine.
On March 4, 2025, at that time, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal stated that Ukraine produces approximately a third of the weapons needed on the battlefield and most of all military drones in the world.
