The information initially appeared in The Alaska Landmine local publication, which cites unofficial sources and reports that between August 12–16, no reservations can be made to the mentioned resort. The complete disappearance of the availability in the reservation calendar could indicate preparations for a high level event.
According to public data, Alyeska resort was founded in 1994 and is about an hour of driving car, Alaska's largest city. The complex, which has the appearance of a mountain castle, offers 299 rooms distributed on eight floors and attracts thousands of tourists every year, thanks to the combination of luxury and spectacular landscapes.
Discretion, luxury and geopolitical symbols
Trump officially announced the date of the meeting – August 15 – through his Social Truth network on August 9th. The Republican leader described the meeting as a “long -awaited”. The confirmation came later from the Russian president's counselor, Iuri Usakov. Although none of the parties made public details about the exact place of the meeting, all indications lead to Alyeska Resort.
The resort offers a wide range of facilities – from SPA centers and luxury restaurants, to outdoor activities such as skiing, snowboarding, fishing or dog -drawn sled rides. The most luxurious rooms, in the Black Diamond Club category, located on the last floors, offer panoramic views on the mountains and valves. A standard luxury apartment can cost up to $ 3,300 per night, and the top suite, called “Glacier”, is rented with over $ 6,000 per night.
