Road repairs to this year's largest facility have begun in Krasnoyarsk

Krasnoyarsk road workers have begun large-scale repairs of Aviatorov Street, one of the most significant and large objects of this year. The total length of work will be 3.16 km, the mayor’s office said.

Currently, the curb stone is being dismantled in two areas: in the area of ​​the overpass and Oktyabrskaya Street. The workers first milled the asphalt along the curb – this approach not only simplifies the process, but also significantly reduces the amount of dust and dirt.

Afterwards, they will begin installing curb stones, and if favorable weather conditions occur, they will begin laying new asphalt.

“As part of the municipal contract, the contractor, Montazhspetsstroy LLC, will have to repair the entire roadway from the Oktyabrsky Bridge to the overpass on the Northern Highway. The plans include completely replacing the road surface in both directions, replacing old cast concrete side stones with granite ones, and ensuring pedestrian accessibility on the sidewalks. At stops, the foundation will be completely replaced to eliminate the cause of rutting. In addition, to reduce accidents, work is planned to optimize traffic in the area of ​​the Planeta shopping center – the left turn gate will be moved there with the installation of additional acceleration and braking lanes. The existing gateway will be closed and a lawn will be installed in its place. Repair of Aviatorov Street will be carried out without complete closureswith traffic restrictions on lanes, which minimizes inconvenience for motorists,” said the UDIB.

They recalled that in parallel, dismantling work is currently underway on four more sections of roads: Maerchak, Pogranichnikov, Elena Stasova streets and the passage from Ryazanskaya to Odesskaya. And in the near future, contractors will begin repairs on Krupskaya and 78th Volunteer Brigade streets.

In total, this year, within the framework of the national project “Infrastructure for Life,” it is planned to repair 25 sections of Krasnoyarsk roads. 1.5 billion rubles have been allocated for these purposes. “The list was compiled taking into account the physical deterioration of the objects, their demand, including the presence of nearby social institutions, as well as the standard time between repairs and requests from residents. The list of road facilities is synchronized with the plans of resource supply organizations to modernize the network infrastructure,” the mayor’s office explained.
