In 2025, Krasnoyarsk railway workers cleaned up 6 passenger sheds and pavilions at stopping points and 16 electric train cars that were covered in graffiti. Almost all cases of vandalism occurred in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Since the beginning of this year, 2 electric train stopping points within Krasnoyarsk have already been damaged by vandals. These are new facilities built to improve passenger comfort – the Platinum Arena and Northern Highway platforms.
Graffiti can only be removed manually. To wash one side of the carriage, the labor of 4 people is used. It takes up to 25 liters of solvent to remove drawings and bring rolling stock to a standard aesthetic state. At the same time, the car is withdrawn from circulation and is not used in passenger transportation.
Pavilions and awnings of bus stops damaged by graffiti have to be completely repainted to restore them to their original appearance.
To protect against vandals, railway workers equip passenger platforms with video surveillance systems. Currently, they are installed at 34 sites located in areas with heavy commuter train traffic. Since the beginning of the year, 4 offenses have been stopped using video cameras.
Let us recall that illegal interference in the activities of railway transport entails both administrative and criminal liability. This includes compensation for financial damage.
Krasnoyarsk Railway calls on residents not to remain indifferent to acts of vandalism and to help prevent them. If illegal actions are detected, you should report it to law enforcement agencies.
