

A strong earthquake is reported to have struck southern and central Mexico.
According to Mexico's National Seismological Agency, the earthquake had a magnitude of 6.5, and its epicenter was near the city of San Marcos in the southern state of Guerrero, near the resort of Acapulco.
The state civil defense agency reported various landslides around Acapulco and on other highways in the state.
As the first tremors began, residents and tourists in Mexico City and Acapulco immediately ran out into the streets.
According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred at a depth of about 35 km. According to authorities, two people died.
Sheinbaum resumed her press briefing shortly after the earthquake.
