“Our cooperation has ended.” Juventus reacts to a question about Zondacrypto

“Our relationship with Zondacrypto ended in June 2025.” — Representatives of the press office of Juventus FC, the legendary club from Turin, Italy, say in an e-mail to Business Insider Polska.
Back in February 2024, both organizations announced “joining forces”. “Zondacrypto, one of the largest and most strictly regulated cryptocurrency exchanges in Europe, has become the official sponsor of the Italian football club Juventus FC. This strategic move aims to further strengthen the position of the exchange on the Apennine Peninsula, where it has been present since 2022, since obtaining an operating license granted by the Italian regulator Organismo Agenti e Mediatori,” read the announcement from 2024.
Parma Calcio 1913, a famous Italian football club from Serie A, reacts differently. “We regret that we cannot answer your questions because we do not disclose our business strategies or provide detailed information about our relationships with partners.” — the club's press office told us. Last November, Zondacrypto announced that it “continues cooperation with Parma Calcio 1913 for the 2025/2026 season.”
The stock exchange also sponsored Polish sports. Here are the first reactions too. Raków Częstochowa announced that it had decided to end cooperation with the Zondacrypto cryptocurrency exchange. Information on this matter was first reported by Przegląd Sportowy Onet.
Pogoń Szczecin may be next. “Zondacrypto, as far as we know, has not transferred a single tranche for cooperation to Pogoń. But at this point it cannot be clearly stated that Pogoń will definitely decide to part with Zondacrypto,” the WP Sportowe Fakty portal reported.
Zondacrypto problems
Meanwhile, all members of the supervisory board of the owner of Zondacrypto resigned from their positions, board member Guido Buehler announced on social media.
The statement said it was issued in light of recent events affecting Zondacrypto, including concerns about customer withdrawals. The following section refers to the decision to resign. “These decisions were made individually and reflect each member's assessment of the situation,” it said.
The media wrote at the beginning of April that the largest Polish cryptocurrency exchange may have serious liquidity problems. The analysis, obtained by money.pl and Wirtualna Polska, revealed a decline in bitcoin reserves of the Zondacrypto exchange by 99%. Users report problems with withdrawing funds, journalists reported.
Look: Dispute over the ZondaCrypto exchange. President: This will not solve the problem
“Zondacrypto is a stable, solvent and safe entity, and money.pl's analysis is incorrect, untrue and unfair,” Przemysław Kral, president of Zondacrypto, said in a statement sent at that time.
The Zondacrypto exchange has a portfolio of 4.5 thousand. bitcoins worth over USD 300 million, but – as Kral reported on Thursday – the keys to them are held by the missing Sylwester Suszek, the founder of the BitBay exchange, the predecessor of Zondacrypto. Suszek, referred to as the “king of cryptocurrencies”, went missing in March 2022.
