Tim Walz emphasized that the current president dragged the country into the conflict and, according to him, had no clear goals or idea for ending it. “We are dealing with a mentally weak, short-tempered president who dragged us into a war where there was no threat, no clear goals and no exit plan. Let's call it what it is, it's fascism. Or at least a fascination with fascism, Walz said during his speech at Global Progressive Mobilization (GPM), an event gathering progressive circles taking place this year in Barcelona.

Criticism of Vance

The governor noted that authoritarian tendencies are present not only in the United States but also in other countries.

Walz, who could become vice president if Kamala Harris wins the US elections in 2024, also stated, quoted by Fox News, that he regrets not being in JD Vance's place. He emphasized that, unlike him, he would not lecture anyone or get into disputes with, among others, pope. He emphasized that his goal is to support the progressive movement and encourage joint action for progress.
