Donald Trump was asked about Poland at the G20. He mentioned Karol Nawrocki

Before flying to Las Vega, US President Donald Trump met with journalists. He received, among others: the question is why the US invited Poland to participate in the G20 meetings instead of South Africa.
— Poland is a wonderful country. We like her very much. We are her friends. The president is doing a great job. That's why we invited her – explained the American leader.
On Thursday, the first meeting of finance ministers and heads of central banks within the G20 group took place in Washington, in which Poland participated as a full member. Our country was represented by Minister Andrzej Domański and the President of the National Bank of Poland, Adam Glapiński.
Poland at the G20 meetings. It's Washington's decision
This year, Poland is taking part in G20 meetings – both in April at the level of finance ministers and at the December leaders' summit – de facto replacing South Africa, although South Africa remains a formal member of the group. This happened as a result of the US decision not to invite the African country to meetings due to a dispute over the situation of white farmers and Washington's accusations of alleged “genocide”. Previously, Polish ministers participated in G20 meetings only as specially invited guests.
Assuming the presidency of the G20 this year, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that “Poland, as a country once trapped behind the Iron Curtain and now among the 20 largest economies in the world, joins the ranks to take its rightful place in the G20”.
