The international flotilla with the humanitarian aid Global Sumud, which goes to the Gaza Strip, was surrounded by the Israeli Navy at night. Some boats were intercepted and their crew stopped. Among the detainees there are four people from the Polish delegation, including MP of the Civic Coalition. A recording hit the network, on which the MP informs that he was kidnapped and calls for help.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Thursday morning that members of the flotilla crew who were captured by Israel's forces are safely transported to this country. When they arrive, their deportation procedure to Europe will begin. The ministry emphasized that everyone is safe and healthy.

The Polish embassy in Israel has also responded to these events, which announced that it was in direct contact with Israeli institutions. Maciej Wewiór, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also took the floor.
“We monitor the situation related to the arrest of GSF ships. Among them, units with Polish citizens – according to our information, they are safe and no one has suffered. The Consul of the Republic of Poland is already in Ashdod, where the detainees are transported. No Polish citizen will remain unattended!” – wrote a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
