PCF Group suspends work on two games and slows down people

The PCF Group has decided to suspend and suspend work on two games: Gemini and Bifrost – said the game producer in the announcement. The company's management decided to reduce the development team by over 60 people.

The decision to suspend the work on the Gemini project results from the fact that after the expiry of the period of the existing contracting agreement in the Work-For-Hire model for Square Enix Limited, no next contract was concluded.

She suspended development work on this PCF Group on June 1, 2025.

According to the company, The publisher of the project did not provide the conditions for the implementation of further stages of production (Milestones) of the Gemini projectcovering the period after the end of the current contracting agreement. The Polish company also did not receive information from the publisher as to the will to continue or end the Gemini project.

“This led to a significant uncertainty about the publisher's intention regarding the completion of the Gemini project. Considering the above, the Management Board estimates that further cooperation between the group and the publisher on the implementation of the Gemini project is doubtful” – it was written in a communiqué.

In connection with the suspension of development work on the Gemini project, the PCF Group management decided to reduce the development team dedicated to the production of the project Gemini. Over 60 people will be reduced.

Additionally, on June 1, the PCF Group Management Board decided to suspend further work on the project Bifrostimplemented by the company's capital group in the Self-Publishing model, i.e. by the group as a publisher, from the group's own funds.

“Making the above decision is related to the failure to conclude a new contracting agreement to the production and performance agreement regarding the Gemini project implemented by the group in Europe in the Work-For-Hire model for Square Enix Limited and the analysis of the group's cash flows conducted as a consequence of this event, which showed no prospects for providing organizational resources and funds for further production funding and the project release Bifrost ” – it was written in a communiqué.
