A pedagogical veteran from Yakutia received 1 million rubles for her centenary

In Yakutsk, the centenary of the veteran of the educational system of the republic, Rosa Petrovna Popova, was solemnly celebrated. As “KP – Yakutia” writes, the hero of the day was presented with the “Uye saas” Badge of Honor from the head of the region, Aisen Nikolaev, and also received a telegram from President Vladimir Putin. The payment for the sign amounted to one million rubles, the money has already been transferred to the birthday girl.
Rosa Popova was born in the village of II Neryuktyai, Olekminsky district. She graduated from the Teachers' Institute, worked as a mathematics teacher, then as deputy chairman of the district executive committee and inspector of the public education department. She trained more than one generation of teachers.
Rosa Petrovna and her husband raised three daughters, and today she is surrounded by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The head of Yakutia called her generation creators who built the future of the republic despite all the difficulties.
The hero of the day herself thanked the authorities for their attention to the older generation and admitted: the secret of her longevity is the constant desire to do something useful.
