Why Trump Was Spotted With McDonald's Bags Ahead Of His Unexpected Iran Press Conference

American President Donald Trump had an unexpected discussion with the press in front of the White House on Monday. Just before reporters were summoned, the president stepped outside to greet a woman wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with “DoorDash Grandma” — a reference to a popular US food delivery service.
The presence of this woman, Sharon Simmons, at the White House is part of an effort to promote new regulations that eliminate taxes on some tips for service industry workers.
But that didn't stop Trump — who bent down to pick up the McDonald's bags Simmons had brought her — to ask her some unexpected political questions, Sky News reports.
“They want men to compete in women's sports,” Trump said, referring to Democrats.
Turning to the woman in front of the international press, he asked: “Do you think men should compete in women's sports?”
“Honestly, I don't have an opinion on that,” she replied.
“You don't? I bet you do!” Trump retorted.
“I came here about the tip tax,” she said, as Trump replied “yeah, fine” and tapped her on the shoulder, congratulating her on her efforts, before turning to take questions from the media.
