The SUEK-Krasnoyarsk team will once again represent the Krasnoyarsk Territory at the All-Russian stage of the GTO festival

The SUEK-Krasnoyarsk coal mining team took first place at the regional GTO festival among labor teams. This allowed the team to receive the right to represent the Krasnoyarsk Territory at the All-Russian level for the third time in a row.

The winners included employees and veterans of JSC SUEK-Krasnoyarsk and its branches – Borodinsky and Nazarovsky open-pit mines, as well as the Borodino loading and transport department.

The regional stage of the GTO festival took place in the athletics arena of the Central Stadium and the hall of the Olympian sports complex. 34 teams from enterprises and organizations of different departments in the region, divided into groups, took part in it. The program included individual standards: running 2 km, pull-ups, push-ups, bending forward from a standing position, and lifting the body from a lying position in one minute. In addition, participants competed in the GTO team relay race and a photography competition.

Following the results of a two-day tournament in the “Production and Construction” group, the SUEK-Krasnoyarsk team took first place. Second place went to representatives of the Electrochemical Plant from ZATO Zelenogorsk, third place went to the team of Nazarovskaya State District Power Plant. In the GTO team relay, the distribution of prizes was similar.

Representatives of the winning team noted that they had been intensively preparing for the festival for several weeks. The composition included participants of different ages, which made it possible to fulfill the standards of several levels of the GTO and added points to the overall standings.

“After the first day of competition, we had an advantage of only 12 points. On the second day, the team increased the gap to 30 points due to abdominal exercises,” said Elena Tyurina, leading engineer of the Borodino open-pit mine.

Athletes-coal miners have already begun preparations for the All-Russian stage of the GTO festival among labor collectives, which will be held in May in Salekhard. Let us recall that for two years in a row the SUEK-Krasnoyarsk team was among the top ten best teams in Russia, bringing home winners’ medals in individual competitions.
