Simion's response to Péter Magyar's attacks: “Be careful how you take Ursula's money!”

AUR leader George Simion congratulated Péter Magyar on his victory in Hungary's parliamentary elections on Sunday, April 12, stressing that he did not “never danced on graves” Hungarian war heroes, as he had claimed in a press conference.

“Congratulations, Péter Magyar. I'm glad you had fair elections — we miss that in Romania. To be clear: I have never danced on the graves of your people, I do not have Zsolt Bayer's “moves”, he said on X.

He referred to the viral video of Hungarian politician Zoltán Hegedűs, close to political leader Péter Magyar, dancing on a stage in Budapest that went viral on social media.

“We're both marathon runners, so a friendly tip: Be careful how you take your country's money from Ursula von der Leyen!”, Simion also conveys to him.

In a press conference held on Monday, April 13, Magyar, the leader of the TISZA party, accused Viktor Orbán of “betraying” the Transylvanian Hungarians, saying that the support given to the AUR leader.

“I think we know the past of George Simion, who was a candidate for the presidency in Romania. Simion played on the graves of war heroes, of our ancestors. Such a person, whether he becomes a politician or not, in no case can be supported by a Hungarian prime minister“, he said.

Magyar emphasized that he will reconfigure relations with neighboring states and support Hungarian communities outside the borders, including in Romania, where he says he has personal ties.
