On social networks, Krasnoyarsk Rospotrebnadzor answered a subscriber’s question whether the seller has the right charge for packing goods by weight.
The woman said that she bought gingerbread cookies at the pavilion, and at home she discovered an extra item on the receipt – a bag for 3 rubles.
The department explained that this is a violation. The buyer does not have to pay for the packaging bag. According to the rules for the sale of goods, food products sold by weight must be transferred to the buyer in packaging without additional payment.
An exception is goods that are sold by self-service or that the buyer brings in his own container. In other cases, it is illegal to take money for packaging.
