Putin spoke with Iran's president shortly after US-Iran talks broke down. What an offer he made

Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian to discuss the negotiations between Iran and the US that took place in Islamabad, reports the Russian Interfax agency, cited by Reuters.
Vladimir Putin has signaled that Russia is ready to broker an agreement on the Middle East.
The talk between the Russian and Iranian presidents came hours after US Vice President JD Vance announced his team was leaving Pakistan after failing to reach an agreement with Iran. The negotiations ended after 21 hours, and now the two-week truce in force is in question, reports Reuters.
“The bad news is that we didn't come to an agreement, and I think that's bad news for Iran much more than it is for the United States of America,” Vance told reporters at the conclusion of the talks.
“So we're coming back to the United States without an agreement. We've made it very clear what our limits are,” the US vice president added.
Iran's Tasnim news agency said “excessive” US demands prevented a deal and that negotiations had ended.
Before Vance made the statements, the Iranian government said in a post on X that negotiations would continue and that technical experts from both sides would exchange documents.
