Photo: “This is how Kiev shows, after the loveful discussion between Trump and Putin.” The viral image of Russia's massive attack on Ukraine's capital arouses anger

A photo that captures a curtain of flames, the consequences of the attack released overnight by Russia on Kiev, was viral on social networks, users condemning Moscow terror or inactivity, which decided on Tuesday to suspend some of the military aid offered to Ukraine.

“What Kiev looks like right now, after the love conversation between Trump and Putin,” Roman Seremeta, a Ukrainian associate professor at Case Western Reserve University, noted on Facebook.

“Trump promised to” put an end to the war in 24 hours “-a promise he repeated hundreds of times and which many believed when they voted. But he betrayed it, “wrote the teacher, in the text that accompanies the photo.

“Now it is painfully clear: Trump's goal is not peace, but the destruction and surrender of Ukraine. In practice, he helps Russia's genocide against Ukraine,” the Seremeta wrote.

“If this is America as an ally, then I have no hope for Article 5,” wrote Richard Woodruff, a former British military man who fought as a volunteer in Ukraine.

A reaction also had Don Bacon, a Republican from the Chamber of Representatives, who launched a call to Trump.

“Mr. President, your policy towards Russia does not work. While we negotiate, little bombarding Ukrainian cities. Here is the Kiev today. It is time to change the strategy.

Timofii Milovanov, former Minister of the Economy of Ukraine, currently president of Kyiv School of Economics, also made the connection with Trump.

“Explosions, drones, missiles – all night. Many injured. Probably many dead. I'm scared and can't sleep,” he wrote.

He also noticed the synchronization of the attack: “The US stops help, yesterday. Trump speaks with Putin, yesterday. Trump talks to Zelenski today.”

A wave attack that lasted all night

Russia hit Kiev with drones in an attack that lasted all night, hurting at least 23 people, damaging the railway infrastructure and fires buildings and cars throughout the city, authorities in the Ukrainian capital said on Friday morning.

Air raid alerts lasted more than eight hours during the night, with more waves of attacks, Russia launching a total of 539 drones and 11 missiles that targeted Ukrainian territory, the Ukrainian air forces announced.

“The main target of the attacks was the capital of Ukraine, the city of Kiev!”, Air forces said in a post on the Telegram Messegress application.

What did Putin tell Trump

US President Donald Trump said a telephone conversation on Thursday with Russian President Vladimir Putin has not led to any efforts to end the Ukraine war, while the Kremlin reiterated that Moscow would continue to resolve the “deep causes” of the conflict.

Washington's decision from the beginning of this week to stop some essential weapons deliveries to Ukraine has further weakened Kiev's position.

Ukrainian officials have warned that the measure will accept their ability to defend themselves against intensifying air blows and advances on the battlefield.

Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski said on Thursday that he hopes to talk to Trump on the supply of American weapons.
