It has become Orban's biggest challenge Tisza party, led by Peter Magyar – a former Fidesz member who, within a dozen or so months, turned into the prime minister's most serious rival.

Magyar ran a campaign based on sharp criticism of Fidesz's power structure, promises of profound institutional changes and “Hungary's return to Europe.” He became known as a politician close to Donald Tuskwhich in Budapest was both an advantage and the axis of the conflict.

For Poles, it is also important that Magyar announced a break with Budapest's current asylum policy towards Polish politicians. He spoke directly about his readiness to end protection for Zbigniew Ziobro and Marcin Romanowski.
