A resident of Kansk will be tried for helping those taking a traffic police exam through a watch with a hidden camera

26 March 13:54

In Kansk, a 48-year-old local resident will appear before the court, who organized illegal assistance in passing the theoretical driving test. The regional prosecutor's office spoke about this.

The man purchased a smart watch with a hidden camera on AliExpress, capable of recording audio and video without identification marks. Having received the parcel, he re-soldered the vibration motors in push-button phones and began to work.

The scheme was simple: the watch was put on the examinee’s wrist, and the “tutor” himself sat in the car, watched what was happening through a smartphone and remotely suggested answers – one ring meant option “A”, two – “B”, three – “C”. In total, he traveled from Kansk to Zelenogorsk 12 times, where the exams were held.

The man did not have a license to use special means to secretly obtain information – according to the law, it is only available to the special services.

The prosecutor's office approved charges of illegal trafficking in such equipment. The defendant admitted guilt; the Kansk City Court will consider the case.
