Tusk: The PiS campaign “Murem za” is getting underway. They will soon run out of bricks

The PiS campaign “Murem za” is getting underway – wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Sunday on X. PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński appealed on Saturday with the slogan “Wall za Obajtek” for support for the former president of Orlen, who is to be questioned by the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw on November 12.

“The PiS 'For the Wall' campaign is getting underway. The list is getting longer. They will soon run out of bricks,” wrote the head of the government on X on Sunday.
A day earlier, the president of Law and Justice, Jarosław Kaczyński, published an appeal for support for the former president of Orlen, currently PiS MEP Daniel Obajtek, who is to be questioned by the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw on November 12.
Obajtek was summoned by the prosecutor's office on this day at the end of October – for questioning regarding Orlen's ordering detective services during his presidency, which were to be provided to politicians of the then opposition. Earlier, the European Parliament – at the request of the Minister of Justice and the Prosecutor General – waived his immunity in connection with this case.

“Today, the most outstanding Polish manager is being furiously attacked for turning a Polish petrochemical company into a multi-energy company that has become important in Europe and the world. A modern, innovative company that embodies the energy independence of our country. Tusk's government is constantly destroying the Polish economy: mass layoffs of employees, rising unemployment, financial problems of entrepreneurs, including State Treasury companies, lack of investments. The degradation of the Polish economy is in full swing, and with with her a man who worked for her success. Let's not forget about him! – wrote Kaczyński on X.
The text is accompanied by a graphic with the slogan “Wall za Obajtek” and the date and place of the Solidarity protest in front of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw. “Protest against political repression against Daniel Obajtek. Tusk's gang wants to press charges against him!” – written on the graphic.
I have received information that Tusk's gang is preparing another attack on MEP Daniel Obajtek. They want to take away his immunity – and then we know well how they treat Polish patriots. Romanowski survived it, Matecki survived it. In recent weeks, Macierewicz was also attacked… pic.twitter.com/v1NHIoLFyY

Obajtek and Orlen reacted
The former head of Orlen responded to Donald Tusk's entry.
“Mr. Prime Minister, there would be no problem with this because you have nothing but hollow bricks, and pro-German ones at that,” he wrote on X and attached data on Orlen's profits from the time he headed the company.
However, the Orlen press office responded to the appeal of the PiS president, also on website X, explaining that Obajtek “is not attacked for creating a multi-energy concern.”
“Explanations, also for shareholders, require very specific matters, such as: – PLN 14 billion wasted in a wrongly planned investment in Olefins; – PLN 3.5 billion in losses in the pre-election 'epidemic of distributor failures', which threatened Poland's energy security; – PLN 1.6 billion transferred to mysterious (alleged) oil trade intermediaries; – use of the company's funds for private purposes. All this was visible in the condition of company. After sorting out the situation, the value of ORLEN has increased by approximately PLN 40 billion since the departure of the above-mentioned manager,” the company's press office reported.
Obajtek corrected in an entry addressed to the Orlen press office that it was not about exchange matters in Orlen's entry.
“You are trying to correct the President, and you do not know what the case is about. If you have not learned your lesson, then the immunity will be lifted, and now the summons concerns the alleged lack of control over the goals and scope of services provided by a detective company that was employed at a key moment for Orlen (the merger of Orlen with Lotos) and which investigated the interference of foreign influences in the company (including the connections of Sienkiewicz's advisory companies, which earned PLN 14 million in Orlen). One wants “also hold me accountable for withdrawing one of the issues of the weekly 'Nie', with an iconoclastic cover insulting JPII and the feelings of Catholics,” he wrote on X.
“A wall for…”
Law and Justice also conducted solidarity campaigns for other politicians associated with the party. In January 2024 – after being convicted in a final judgment for exceeding powers in the so-called the land scandal of 2007 and the imprisonment of politicians of this party Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik – PiS and the media supporting the group organized protests, including: under the slogan “Solidarity with Kamiński and Wąsik”. The protests ended after the politicians were pardoned by then-President Andrzej Duda.
In December of the same year, banners with the words “Solidarity with Romanowski“The prosecutor's office then issued an arrest warrant for Marcin Romanowski – a PiS MP and deputy minister of justice when Zbigniew Ziobro was in charge of the ministry. Previously, the politician was charged with 11 charges in the Justice Fund case. Currently, Romanowski is in Hungary, where he received political asylum.
Last week, when the Sejm decided to lift the immunity of PiS MP Zbigniew Ziobro, billboards with the slogan “Solidarity with Minister Ziobro” and the logo of the Independence March Rota Association. The organization is headed by Robert Bąkiewicz, a national activist cooperating with Jarosław Kaczyński's environment.
A PiS MP also receives support Michał Wośin the past also one of Ziobro's deputies in the Ministry of Justice. At the end of October, the prosecutor's office filed an indictment against him for transferring PLN 25 million from the Justice Fund for the purchase of the Pegasus system. The campaign in support of the former deputy minister was accompanied by the slogan “A wall for Michał Wosiem”. (PAP)
