Bonnie Tyler has a concert scheduled in Romania this year
She would perform at the Sala Palatului in Bucharest on October 23, in an anniversary concert to mark 50 years of her career.
“His return to Bucharest brings a new breath, a lot of joy and the sincere desire to share with the Romanian public a musical story that has marked millions of people and that has defined the soundtrack of the last decades. A story without which the musical landscape from the 70s to today would not have had the same intensity,” KIMARO Entertainment, the organizer of the concert, said in a statement.
Born Gaynor Hopkins, Bonnie Tyler was born in Wales. She rose to fame in the late 1970s with the hit “It's a Heartache”, before becoming one of the iconic singers of the 1980s with hits such as “Total Eclipse of the Heart” (1983) and “Holding Out for a Hero” (1984).
Known for her husky voice and blonde hair, Bonnie Tyler carried her country's hopes to the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest with “Believe in Me”, finishing in 19th place.
In 2023, she was honored by King Charles III with the title of Member of the Order of the British Empire.
