It was a gracious first half for the reigning champions, who scored 4-0 to seal the win.

Darius Olaru, after FCSB – Oțelul: “Probably the best half of this season”

“To score 4 goals in a half I can't remember the last time it happened, it was probably the best half of the season. I'm glad we were able to put into practice everything we've done this week in training.

I looked good. Overall, we could have done more in the second half, but we stick with this very good first half and try to build from game to game, to look better and better.

There were several meetings [de antrenament]we tried to be positive, learn and prepare for this match. It was clear that the staff and Mister were waiting for a reaction from us after the unsuccessful match in Botoșani. I'm glad we managed to please them tonight,” Olaru told DigiSport.

Regarding tonight's opponent, the captain of the red-blues stated that “it is a team that tries to play and that helps us”.

“We were able to recover quite a few balls in the first half, catch them on the counter. We took advantage of pretty much every mistake they made. There's been a lot of ups and downs this season, that's what got us to where we are now.

The objective is to win the play-out, that's clear. We continue to train well and be ready for what comes next.

We're pretty much the same players, we've had results together. I don't think I've forgotten football, it's a mental issue. Too many failures this season, but once we manage to tie more positive results I hope we recover and have confidence in ourselves again, that's what we're missing,” he added.
