A 17-year-old player from Legia Warsaw is hospitalized after being involved in a road accident in which he lost his older sister. The young man, Ksawery Jezewski, was in a car that came out of the road and hit a tree. The accident took place in Golice, near the city of Plock.

The Varșovia Legia sent a statement about Jezewski's condition: “He is hospitalized in serious condition following a tragic road accident in which he lost his sister. The Board of Directors, the club team, the colleagues and the coaches of the Academy transmit sincere condolences to Ksawery's parents and they are with them in this family.”

Ksawery Jezewski's sister died on the spot, and the footballer is in serious condition at the hospital

Several intervention crews immediately arrived at the scene, but Jezewski's sister, 18, died on the spot. The player was transported to the hospital, where he is in serious condition.

“A Toyota Yaris came out of the road for an inexplicable reason and struck by a tree. The causes of the accident are unknown, but, according to the first conclusions, the vehicle did not travel at excessive speed. The police have not yet established who was driving the car,” said a police spokesman for the Polish newspaper Przeglad Sportowy.

“He is a very talented young man”

Jezewski is an attacker and plays for the U17 team of Legia Warsaw and was also an international Polish in the same age category.

Vafal Matusiak, the coach of Legia's U17 team, described the type of person who is Jezewski for the Polish Sport Fakt: “He is a professional, worker, trustworthy and ambitious footballer, who has a successful chance in Sport. He is a very talented young man who came to our academy. In the last championship matches, he scored 17 goals.”
