The Orion capsule has landed. The astronauts from Artemis II returned to Earth

At 22 on Friday, NASA reported that the astronauts were approx. 56,000 km from Earth, preparing the ship for landing. The weather forecast was favorable for the safe completion of the space journey.
At At 1.55 the capsule entered the atmosphere and contact with the crew was interrupted for six minutes.
After its reconnection, there was great joy at the NASA center, as it meant that the spacecraft had safely passed the most dangerous moment of its return to Earth. At On April 2, the first drogue parachutes opened.

On Earth, teams from NASA and the US Navy were waiting for the four astronauts. At On July 2, Polish time, the Orion capsule landed in the water of the Pacific Ocean.
The event was broadcast by NASA.
“Historic mission, returning HOME” – this is the message that appeared on the White House website.
The flight of the Artemis II spacecraft is the first manned expedition to the Moon since the Apollo program. It is a dress rehearsal before the human landing on the surface of a natural satellite, planned for 2028. The Artemis II crew includes four astronauts – three Americans: Christina Koch, Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Canadian Jeremy Hansen.
